Retail Sales Associate

Reports to: Corporate Marketing Manager or Corporate Parts Manager

Supervises: None

Purpose:

Responsible for executing dealership retail showroom strategy in accordance with the marketing plan and department budget. Uses data analysis to stock accurate merchandise to attract customers and meet retail sales metrics. Responsible for all aspects of the retail merchandise experience.

Responsibilities:

• Places orders to accurately stock regular and seasonal merchandise for the showroom

• Creates and executes showroom marketing plans that cover whole goods, parts and service with showroom displays and video display content

• Coordinates the store level execution of showroom displays to ensure that the showroom is used to provide solutions to customers and creates a dynamic, engaging experience

• Utilizes data to forecast orders of product for placement in showroom

• Manages all seasonal merchandise purchasing, selling and discounting in the showroom and through e-business

• Coordinates the showroom discount tactics including signage and displays to support the marketing plan promotional periods and the discounting structure to ensure seasonal merchandise is sold thru by the end of season

• Assists with advertising to ensure it is customized and tailored to customer segmentation and set promotions

• Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• 2+ years of administrative experience

• Experience in graphic design or retail merchandising preferred

• Basic clerical expertise and knowledge of office procedures

• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office, internet functions and dealer business system(s)

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

• Associates degree in marketing or graphic design preferred
