The Retail Sales and Operations Project Manager has a lead role in project managing retail store projects and initiatives on a national scale. He/she will lead concept design, strategy development, and project manage GTM execution with flawless implementation across all Suddenlink and Optimum retail stores.

Core functional areas:

Project Management

Projects will focus on implementing new greenfield strategic revenue growth initiatives that lead Altice into new customer segments and new product/service offerings that strengthen the Altice brand in the marketplace. He/she will partner with retail store Directors to identify sales performance gaps and collaborate with (a) the Marketing organization to identify promotions, events, offers, visual merchandising, etc., (b) the Training organization to identify learning and development opportunities, and (c) Product Management to identify unique product/pricing offers that lead to gap closure and increased Altice marketspace. Responsibility will also include driving communications across the entire retail store channel to ensure engagement and consistent messaging and alignment with overall business strategy and business goals.

Sales Operations

The Retail Sales and Operations Manager will lead projects that enhance existing retail store operations and drive revenue growth across every Altice lines of business. Projects will include identifying and implementing sales operation initiatives that improve overall retail store performance, increase Retail Store Associate (RSA) productivity, streamline processes, reduce operational costs, maximize retail store efficiencies, as well as ensuring retail stores continuously exceed operational compliance goals. Partnering and collaborating with retail store Directors and Altice Headquarters cross-functional teams (including Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Training, Finance, etc.), the Project Manager will have a keen responsibility for driving measurable sales revenue growth across all retail stores. He/she will lead projects that enable retail stores and RSAs to exceed KPI goals (Sales KPIs and Operations KPIs). He/she will lead projects that optimize the customer experience in our retail stores including improving NPS, optimizing the shopping experience, and identifying innovative strategies that instill customer buying/shopping behaviors.

Retail Store Merchandising

The Retail Sales and Operations Manager will be responsible for merchandising retail stores.

Developing strategies to include, but not limited to:

  • Drive consumer purchase behavior

  • Create consumer in-store walk-flow strategies that:

  • Lead consumers to purchase add-on's (i.e., accessories)

  • Lead consumers to take action on in-store promotions and special offers

  • Provide a superior sales journey and customer experience within the store

  • Create an in-store cohesive look/feel that maintains an overall Altice brand image

Developing tactics to include, but not limited to:

  • Partnering with Marketing team to create in-store signage (digital and traditional)
  • Designing Merchandise Planograms (product placement / merchandising to include Mobile products, Fix Line products, Mobile Accessories, and other product categories)
  • Maintain accuracy with pricing labels, compliance signage, and other in-store signage


  • Project manage a diverse set of large-scale projects that require collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the organization (will be managing multiple projects).

  • Owning and fostering strong/healthy relationships with Retail Sales Directors and cross-functional teams throughout the organization. Will serve as Retail Sales & Operations SME.

  • Have the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a specific project(s)

  • Define the project, build its comprehensive work plan, and manage to the timeline and budget

  • Lead project teams as well as plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project

  • Use internal data analysis, competitive intelligence, and market trend data to formulate project strategy, delivery, and execution

  • Conduct research and analysis to make sound business decisions and formulate compelling recommendations

  • Perform needs assessment and data gathering to advance projects forward

  • Operationalize key initiatives across all retail stores

  • Project manage and coordinate facilities related projects with external vendors partners and internal facilities team. Facilities projects may include full store renovations as well as store relocations (opening a new store)

  • Identify sales performance gaps (to include analyzing store and RSA performance) and create initiatives that lead to gap closure

  • Coordinate communication related to sales/marketing promotions, new product and/or service launches, seasonal sales incentives, new sales processes

  • Support in the design, development, documentation and communication of new and existing policies, processes and procedures while also making sure the processes are standardized across all retail stores

Skills / Competencies:

  • Merchandising skills and Planogram design skills

  • Understanding consumer in-store traffic patterns and consumer buying behaviors (optimizing in-store walk-flow patterns that drive-to-purchase)

  • Excellent leadership and negotiation skills

  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written); ability to communicate with people at all levels; clear communication about goals, responsibility, performance, expectations and feedback

Position will be located in Long Island City, NY at Altice USA Headquarters with some travel to retail store locations across the country.


  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years of project/program management and business management experience

  • 5+ years industry experience in Communications, Telecom, Mobile, OEM Product Manufactures (a plus)

  • 7+ years Retail Store experience (a plus)

  • 3+ years merchandising and planogram design experience

  • Demonstrated experience in change management and leadership

  • Exceptional time management, working with cross-functional teams, and excels in matrix management environments

Strictly adhere to inventory control programs, in-stock standards, reduction in "outside" parts purchases through secondary vendors, and mark-up maintenance of "special order" merchandise. * Handle the recording and maintaining of DIY warranty registration for parts and monitors "lost sales" resulting from out of stock situations and sales activity of "special order" parts not included in merchandise assortment. * Under the direction of the Store Manager of Parts, participates in "truck-day" operations, cycle counts, audits, and organization of the back room. * Responsible for seamless parts delivery; promptly reacts to the needs of our internal and external customers. * Effectively communicate with all store associates, management, and customers. * Key holder and responsible for basic and detailed opening and closing responsibilities. * Other duties as assigned.
