POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for conducting branch internal audits to determine controls are adequate and effectively maintained in accordance with bank policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Reviews assigned activities in order to determine whether branches are performing activities in compliance with SOX, policies, and procedures.

  • Contributes to satisfactory or better audits for Retail Banking and branches by ensuring remediation plans are adhered to.

  • Assists with reviewing and approving online new accounts for new and existing customers.

  • Maximizes income and minimizes expense through ongoing improvements of branch procedures and practices.

  • Recommends corrective action and suggests improvement to maximize efficiency.

  • Professional oral and written communication skills and follow-up when corresponding with employees.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job responsibilities as required while maintaining organization.

  • Assists with Retail Support by participating in the call and email queue

  • Maintains knowledge of Company and industry projects, services and trends affecting team activities including technology advances and compliance/regulatory trends.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years banking experience and/or experience within a financial institution, auditing experience preferably in the area of branch operations.

  • Ability to demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that pertain to this position and must be able to keep up to date on regulation changes.

  • Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and related programs.

  • Must be bondable.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other Database software.
