Retail Processor II- Arlington

Job Summary:

The primary function of the Loan Processor II is to ensure the timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated through Retail, Wholesale, Home Equity and/or Alternative Delivery Channel originations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Gathering information from the customer and taking each file from pre-approval to closing

  • Inputting proper loan information into the system for processing

  • Ensuring that all loan documentation is complete accurate verified and aligns with company policy

  • Preparing application for submittal to underwriting

  • Reviewing file documentation and making sure all items needed are requested

  • Communicating with the consumers, mortgage consultants and/or brokers on loan status and collecting additional documentation to clear conditions.

Role Attributes:

  • Receives moderate instruction on filing, recording, and organizing documentation associated with a loan.

  • May assist in reviewing or ensuring proper documentation or procedures or output of more basic activities.

  • May work on moderately complex projects with assistance and oversight of managers.

  • May be expected to maintain direct contact with Mortgage Consultants, Brokers or Consumers.

  • May be required to obtain and maintain Lending Authority levels.

  • Primary focus is on execution within defined parameters, with some expansion based on developing capabilities and or experiences, in partnership with more experienced staff.

Qualifications

Experience:

Incumbent will typically have more than 2-4 years' experience with a working knowledge of the business and general office skills. NMLS Registration is required. This position may be subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements.

Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all applicants for employment who will be engaged in residential loan mortgage originations (as defined by the SAFE Act) must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements. If at any time the Bank determines that your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to register successfully or to maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act will affect your eligibility for continued employment and may result in your immediate termination.
