Sodexo Corporate Services North America is seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager for our premier client in Nashville, Tennessee.

The successful candidate will have direct oversight of a corporate cafe unit where Sodexo provides breakfast and lunch service with a conference center to a building population of about 700, as well as casual and upscale catering. The Retail Operations Manager will lead a small team of 12 frontline employees. This account is located in the HCA Corporate Office.

This position supports the front of house facets of daily culinary production including all daily retail and catering production, deployment of the mindful focus, and overseeing the development of food service employees. The best qualified candidate will have excellent leadership experience and a focus on safety and sanitation and quality and standards.

We are looking for candidates who will manage:

  • Frontline hourly staff

  • Ordering and inventory

  • On-site marketing

  • Cash handling process

  • Customer service

  • Food production

  • Manage HACCP and safety programs for regulatory compliance

  • Frontline training programs

  • Compliance with new branding and marketing initiatives

  • Opening and closing the operation

  • Daily operations standards.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.Key Duties-Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.-Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.-Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.-Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.-Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.

  • Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience

  • 3 years

Basic Functional Experience

  • 3 years of experience in retail operations

Overview We are currently hiring individuals that may be used to staff a vendor contract with Google Fiber. PURPOSE: The Local Retail Store Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations with minimal guidance from a regional client representative. The Retail Manager is also responsible for ensuring direct reports are thoroughly trained on all aspects of store operations, employment expectations, and brand advocacy. Additionally, this enthusiastic individual will ensure proper policy and procedures are followed to maintain and enhance the level of quality interactions and brand impressions, that are expected by the client. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Manage the overall operation of the location including but not limited to; opening and closing, inventory and loss prevention, recruiting, training, performance management, and scheduling * Support employees in problem solving and address escalated internal and external customer issues in a responsive, timely, and accurate manner * Train the Retail Associates in all aspects of the location including customer service, technical support, troubleshooting, and product positioning * Audit and ensure the execution of store policies and procedures such as; customer acquisition, retention, payments, and equipment exchanges/return * Collaborate with client retail team to ensure store aesthetically aligns with branding expectations * Achieve all goals and key performance indicators * Create an interactive and engaging environment for both customers and associates * Establish and maintain a culture of professionalism and support within the Customer Space * Ensure that customers and prospective customers are treated with the highest level of courtesy and professionalism * Conduct regular team meetings * Maintain customer equipment inventory * Other tasks as requested by management EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college level coursework preferred * Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience required * Knowledge of Android/IOS technology, operating systems, wifi, networks, and data communications required * Experience leading a retail sales and support team required SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: * Familiar with Google Drive and related applications (Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, and Forms) and Gmail service. * Ability to leverage advanced customer service and industry related experience to guide, train and lead the customer service team * Performance Management and conflict resolution skills * Must be results and detail oriented * Ability to build and foster business relationships at multiple levels * Excellent customer service skills * Must have passion for technology and innovation * Demonstrated strength in teaching/coaching techniques; positively influence and empower others * Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written * Ability to ask effective questions and be an active listener * Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes with professionalism * Ability to show patience and tact and remain calm under pressure * High level of initiative and self-motivation with a continued drive to learn * Must be reliable and able to work well both in a team environment and independently * Strong time management and organizational skills * Demonstrated good judgment in analyzing information, critical thinking and decision making * Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills * Willingness to travel PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
