THE ROLE

The Retail Operations Manager will strategically and proactively implement all retail operation projects and processes for the business, reporting into the Director of Retail, along with working in collaboration with the retail leadership teams. The Retail Operations Manager will act as a liaison between HQ and stores as well as project manage new business initiatives from concept through to evaluation, embracing digital platforms and future-proofing the business.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Implement and action Inventory Control measures across all doors

  • Maintain and coordinate supply orders for all stores, including stationery

  • Facilitate accurate reporting for Director of Retail, daily/weekly sales recaps

  • Act as a champion of internal communications between Spring Street HQ and stores

  • Partner with Visual Merchandising and maintain awareness to store execution/standards

  • Liaison with Logistics to understand and communicate stock flow and delivery timings to retail leadership

  • Lead store maintenance, remodels, and New Store Opening processes

  • Constantly looking to improve operations and processes with customer experience in mind

  • Champion retail employee recognition via weekly newsletter, retail activity calendar

  • BOH Procedure

  • Onboarding/Educational Material for teams to refer to

  • Profit Protection (BRINKS, deposits, etc.)

  • Provide accurate, relevant, and timely brand communication to the business about brand operation projects to improve the business through company bulletins, along with the internal intranet resource platform.

  • Liaison with internal teams such as Visual Merchandising, Human Resources, IT, and Marketing/PR etc. to ensure timely communication to field partners.

  • Lead and project manage new store openings, store closures, and store relocations on an on-going basis, that may include travel to-and-from impacted locations.

  • Ensures all project goal budgets are met and adhering to approved the store supply spending and process

  • Reviews and approves all field communication for approval, including weekly department updates, information, and actions.

  • Manage all NA product recalls and price adjustments/re-tickets in partnership with the Merchandising team to ensure compliance and appropriate process is communicated, including deadlines and execution.

  • Lead NA store inventory audit process, to include scheduling coordination with stores and third-party, analyzing results on a micro and macro level, and hosting training calls to prevent loss and promote best practices.

  • You will act as the voice of the customer and brand in operational projects

  • Research best practices within competitors and stay abreast of front-line innovations while using best-in-class technology to update and future-proof global brand operations

  • Implement operational strategies to drive the productivity, profitability and satisfaction of all stores and online customers.

  • Manage any third-party relationships to ensure the best SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met in line with Brand values

  • Support brand visibility through effective management of data for customer touchpoints. Internal and external customers inclusive.

  • Support the retail marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness.

  • Implement solutions to improve operations in stores to support the Brand Strategy, which leads to long-term excellence.

  • Manage and implement strategies that will focus on risk management to the business

  • Ensure all operations comply with legislation, risk and safety management, and profit protection protocol.

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Process-obsessed and constantly looking to streamline

  • Strong follow up, follow through and attention to detail needed.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise when being given multiple assignments at once.

  • Must Develop strong working partnerships with other departments to increase effectiveness and efficiency, able to manage these partnerships laterally and upwards where required, utilising negotiation and influencing skill

  • Schedule must remain flexible. May require domestic and international travel to match business needs.

  • 40% In-Store presence per week required / 60% office presence

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Operations/Retail/Store Management preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace platforms

Pay Range in NYC, NY:

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location

Base Salary:

$100,000 - $120,000
