The summer intern program at Global Partners allows college students the opportunity to develop core business skills while working in one of our key business areas. Some of these include, but are not limited to, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, Legal and Terminal Operations. Global Partners has operated successfully for over 75 years and it is due in large part to its people. During this program, interns gain exposure to executive management where interns learn about the company's history, successes, and strategic direction. They work on a group project based upon solving a core problem for the business. They develop peer and professional networks that help them get where you want to be.

We're looking for a bright, ambitious, and personable Intern to support the Retail Operations Group by assisting in various projects and daily responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a desire to succeed and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in in the administrative operations and daily rigor of C-store Operations.

  • Assist in cross functional projects involving multiple disciplines.

  • Assist Retail Operations team members in various projects as assigned by the VP of Operations.

  • Assist in creating Excel spreadsheets to analyze financial performance.

  • Respond and communicate with Regional Managers, Territory Managers and Store Managers ensuring a free flow of information.

  • Participate in a cross functional initiative involving the documentation of processes and procedures.

  • Assist in the presentation and dissemination of project goals, objectives and progress to a diverse group of associates at all levels.

  • Exposed to business analytics and reporting.

  • Exposed to labor management and forecasting tools and reporting.

  • Exposed to market dynamics of pricing, product demand and labor markets.

  • Work on special projects, research, and analysis as needed.

About You:

  • Minimum 3.2 GPA.

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Requires a high level of verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail, flexibility and ability to manage multiple competing priorities while meeting expected deadlines.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem solving skills.

  • Highly motivated and energetic.

  • Eagerness and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to process information from multiple streams and problem solve.

  • Strong work ethic and tenacity.

  • Must have a high school diploma and be enrolled in a degree program leading to a Bachelor's degree.

  • Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week from June 3rd August 9th.

The Trial Management Intern is a dynamic individual who is interested in oncology drug development and is able to navigate a fast paced environment. The intern will assist in clinical operations activities focused on efficiently executing high-quality, patient-focused clinical trials to advance TESARO's transformative and innovative treatments. This is an office-based position located in Waltham, Massachusetts. Job Responsibilities: * Support the Clinical Operations team in gathering, analyzing, and reporting project metrics and trial status. * Assist with design and/or maintenance of Clinical Operations SharePoint site(s) such as trial-specific collaboration and/or Trial Master File (TMF) sites. * Aid in the tracking, review, and archiving of documentation associated with the conduct of clinical trials. * Prepare presentations, which may include scientific, trial management, and/or learning and development. * Recognize the need to seek assistance or inform Manager of specific issues. * Regularly meet with Manager to discuss status of activities and potential issues or recommendations. * Perform necessary administrative functions and additional duties as assigned. * Operate in alignment with TESARO's values: The Patient (urgency, action, passion), Audacious Goals (willing to take bold steps and calculated risks), The Whole Person (fully present, engaged, respectful, and flexible individuals), Relationships (collaborative, managing relationships, diversity of perspective), Sustainability (thoughtful, integrated, timely, meaningful decisions) Requirements: * Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's degree program * Excitement about TESARO's mission to provide transformative therapies to people bravely facing cancer. * Ability to work within a team, as well as, independently; at times, with minimal supervision * Willingness to work in a dynamic and changing corporate environment * Competence in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
