About this Opportunity
At Ace, the Retail Operations team supports the growth and development of our 5,000+ stores across the country. The Corporate Retail Operations Intern will take part in assisting our field team of nearly 200 folks to achieve our goals of increasing sales, drive transactions and grow profits of our retailers by adding 160 new stores and executing 200+ store renovation projects. The Corporate Retail Operations intern will work collaboratively with all of the teams which support our field organization including Project Management, New Business and Operations Support.
The candidate will support our vision to become the most helpful field organization in retail by:
Learning the marketing efforts to draw prospective owners to Ace along with the life-cycle of an Ace Hardware store
Gaining knowledge in the Project Management processes- from store plans to setting the stores
Supporting all efforts to simplify and streamline the education and communications to the field and retailers
This is a great opportunity to improve your resume skills by working closely with Salesforce, DocuSign, GoToTraining, Excel, Word and Outlook.
The ideal intern will possess the following:
Working towards a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related) with a focus on Sales and/or Marketing (or related)
Entering Senior year of college
Retail experience a plus
Strong oral and written communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Adaptability to work independently or in a team environment
Ability to learn quickly in high-pressure environments
Ambitious self-starter who has demonstrated the ability to contribute as an effective team member
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Demonstrated motivation and initiative to succeed
Willingness and ability to give presentations to colleagues, managers and directors
Knowledge and interest in Ace Hardware Corporation
Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday Friday for 12 weeks
