Position Title: Retail Operations Consultant
Reports To: Retail Operations Manager
Department: Customer Experience
FLSA Status: Exempt
Purpose: The Retail Operations Consultant is responsible for implementing and administering best practice functional and operational procedures used by Retail Branch offices and other departments as assigned. The Retail Operations Consultant is to work with business partners on project teams to create, test, and implement new processes for new and/or enhancements of technology.

Essential Functions:
Implements approved branch operational procedures and programs within assigned Branches.
Reviews needs of each Branch office to determine appropriate cash levels for assigned offices.
Completes assigned branch's Strike Sheet, balancing Teller and Vault cash drawers to General Ledger. Completes review of Strike Sheet for un-assigned branches ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Visits assigned Branches on a continuous basis to discuss any changes in policies or procedures, ensuring understanding and proper implementation among Branch staff. Assists Branches in passing audits by ensuring that audit and compliance procedures are being adhered to.
Responds to and resolves operational issues.
Works collaboratively with other Departments to ensure understanding and proper implementation of policies and procedures as necessary and appropriate.
Assists Branches in passing audits by ensuring that audit and compliance procedures are being adhered to.
Monitors, conducts and facilitates in-branch training as needed to ensure Branch staff achieve performance standards.
Design and facilitate Branch Operations training to ensure Branch staff achieve operation performance standards.
Works collaboratively with project teams to create, test, and implement new processes for new and/or enhancements of technology.
Monitors, conducts and facilitates training as needed to ensure Support Center staff achieve performance standards & progress in Branch Operation centralization initiative.
Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.
Job Related Qualifications - Education and Prior Experience:
Required:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
Prior Experience: 1+ years of banking experience
Licenses or Accreditation: Register with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System Registry (NMLS) and obtain a unique identifier that is provided to consumers in accordance with all SAFE Act requirements. Renew registration with NMLS annually. Maintains and updates personal registry information as necessary to include name changes, employment changes, etc.
OR-
Required:
Education: Associate Degree
Prior Experience: 3+ years of banking experience
Licenses or Accreditation: Register with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System Registry (NMLS) and obtain a unique identifier that is provided to consumers in accordance with all SAFE Act requirements. Renew registration with NMLS annually. Maintains and updates personal registry information as necessary to include name changes, employment changes, etc.
OR-
Required:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior Experience: 5+ years of banking experience
Licenses or Accreditation: Register with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System Registry (NMLS) and obtain a unique identifier that is provided to consumers in accordance with all SAFE Act requirements. Renew registration with NMLS annually. Maintains and updates personal registry information as necessary to include name changes, employment changes, etc.
Preferred:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
Prior Experience: 2+ years of banking experience, training, or operations
Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and change focus quickly to meet business needs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn and utilize new and existing banking software applications.
Ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
Ability to present information in an effective concise manner to employees with diverse skill sets.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to be flexible with work schedule and to be on call during all open Branch hours.
Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.
Able to regularly stand for prolonged periods of time.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Able to travel extensively.
Extensive computer usage is required.
