Retail Merchandising Specialist

We are looking for individuals that are detail oriented to apply to our part time Retail Merchandiser Specialist opportunity. Retail Merchandisers represent and merchandise a variety of well known brands in retailers like Lowes and Home Depot.

Merchandising activities include

  • Maintaining, replacing and building displays of products represented.

  • Stocking shelves and resetting product to current layout or plan-o-gram.

  • Sharing product knowledge with customers and store employees.

  • Completing service reports and uploading photos while in store.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Direct retail and or merchandising experience is preferred.

  • Experience working in retailers like Lowes, Home Depot, Mass Merchants, Club, Grocery, Drug, or Discount stores

  • Able to communicate effectively with management and Customers.

  • Ability to perform repetitive bending, standing, walking and be able to push, pull and lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to travel to retail stores on scheduled work days using a personal car.

  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance is required.

  • Smart phone or tablet (apple or android) with internet access to complete reports while in store.

VIEW JOBS 4/25/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-24T00:00 Description Job Summary: Under minimum supervision, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience in securities and/or banking industry to provide intermediate analysis of projects/initiatives that vary in scope and impact cost basis processing and reporting. Maintains knowledge of cost basis policies, processes, and procedures. This position will be responsible for identifying position breaks within the Cost Basis Reporting system, ensuring consistent compliance with Cost Basis policy/practices as they specifically relate to financial and regulatory risks. Provides guidance or training of other associates for assigned area of focus. Uses independent judgement to provide solutions to complex problems. Extensive contact with internal customers and external contacts is required to identify, research, and resolve problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Identifies position breaks within the Cost Basis Reporting system. Consults with various groups (IT, project team and vendor) to collect and analyze data. Identifies trends and conducts root cause analysis to determine break solution. * Reviews and identifies transaction errors including trades, stock activity, and income reallocation entries. Researches cause and effect of undefined entries and develops solutions. Collaborates with project team and vendor regarding recommended changes for implementation. * Identifies and researches global issues affecting reconciliation within the Cost Basis Reporting system. Develops and drives implementation of processing resolutions. Provides training for core associates and communicates impact. * Assists in defining and clarifying reconciliation requirements and parameters. * Identifies and reviews corporate action events to ensure accurate processing within the Cost Basis Reporting system. Consults with Corporate Actions department through the data collection process, researches and analyzes information, collaborates with project team and schedules vendor processing. * Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for core associates regarding highly complex processing issues. * Maintains documentation and communications, including status reports and quality assurance reviews. * Develops and participates in the training of core associates relative to higher complexity processing including reconciliation efforts. * Partners with other operational groups to identify, collect and analyze information, interviews SME's, observes operations and uses knowledge of business systems and processes to develop solutions. * Facilitates the implementation of cross-functional solutions through educating operational teams with presentations and hands-on training. * Assists in understanding business impacts associated with initiatives. Provides input and assistance on process improvement efforts including processing efficiencies through the use of automation. * Conducts research, documentation, and testing for projects, system releases and tax season preparation. * Keeps abreast and maintains working knowledge of Cost Basis Reporting system and known defects in the SVI central system. * Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: * Intermediate concepts, practices and procedures regarding Cost Basis Reporting. * Functional, operational and technical requirements of all systems used by Cost Basis Reporting. * Financial markets, products and principles of securities industry operations. * IRS regulations relative to the Economic Stabilization Act and cost basis reporting impacting tax documents such as the 1099-B, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV. * Concepts of risk management, analysis, issue tracking and requirements gathering. Skill in: * Tracking and maintaining project reports, forecasts, accruals and communications. * Identifying resources, coordinating projects, communicating changes and progress, ensuring timely completion. * Interpreting data input, clarifying issues and developing solutions. * Communicating clearly and informatively, editing work for spelling and grammar, and presenting numerical data effectively. * Demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness, while applying feedback to improve performance. * Preparing and delivering written and oral presentations. * Completing tasks on time or notifying the appropriate level with an alternative course of action. * Collecting, researching and analyzing data. * Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.
