This key territory for FMC encompasses the key crop markets west of Billings Montana and Western Wyoming. Position located in the Western Montana market. FMC offers a full portfolio of products including Fungicides, Herbicides, Insecticides, and biologicals. A strong relationship with distributors, retailers, consultants and other Market Influencers are essential elements of the success of this position.
Responsible for the management of customer accounts, identify and develop new prospects to sell FMC products.
Focus on sales targets, business development, building customer relationships and resolving customer issues.
Support Customers with agronomic and product benefit information to enhance selling activities
Differentiate products and services, and build relationships with key customers using agronomic and technical skills
Prepare sales presentations, call plans, proposals, and reports for internal and external communication
Maintain a thorough knowledge of FMC products and services
Obtain and communicate market information related to sales volumes to Regional Business Manager
Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the organization on product performance, program effectiveness, and competitive activity. Suggest improvements or alternate tactics to help achieve company goals.
Identify and develop new business opportunities for increased sales to existing accounts or acquiring new accounts
Coordinate interface between customer and other company resources (technical, supply chain) to provide value added service to accounts
Function as a Team Player with a willingness to identify issues and opportunities resulting in the development and implementation of appropriate actions.
Requires 50% travel to service territory responsibilities.
A minimum of 5 years sales experience
Strong selling, technical, and business acumen skills with a high degree of customer focus
Demonstrated ability to make decisions under minimum supervision; occasionally makes decisions of a complex nature within operating guidelines
Ability to effectively network with both internal and external partners
Demonstrated the ability to make independent judgments with review from management; makes decisions of a complex nature where independent judgment and creativity are required
Demonstrated ability to negotiate with middle to senior management
Proficient in use of computer hardware and software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to work in a rapidly changing business environment
