Sodexo is seeking a Retail Operations Manager for Erlanger Baroness Hospital located in Chattanooga, TN. Erlanger Baroness Hospital is a 800 bed academic medical center with over $3M in retail sales operating both "At Your Request" and "Expressly For You" Patient Dining programs.

The Retail Operations Manager will be an exceptional leader with the ability to direct, mentor, and retain a team with strong communication skills. The Retail Operations Manager will lead a team of 2 retail managers and supervisors, with indirect oversight of frontline associates. ensures smooth operations, delegates tasks, and ensures all customer and client goals are met and exceeded.

Hours will vary, rotating weekends and holidays required.

We are looking for candidates who can:

  • implement performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to improve customer satisfaction;
  • monitor daily retail operations which include Sodexo branded concepts along with a full licensed Starbucks and a Chick-fil-A;
  • interact with customers and the nursing staff;
  • perform assessments, training, stocking/inventory of the retail areas; and
  • perform some HR functions and direct supervision of hourly associates.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies

  • Previous experience working in a high volume healthcare facility a plus

  • Supervisory or management experience a huge plus, preferably in health care, hospitality, and/or restaurants

  • branded concepts experience a plus, but not required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience

  • 3 years

Basic Functional Experience

  • 3 years of experience in retail operations
