Job Objective: To establish and maintain long-term customer relationships by servicing assigned accounts, building new relationships with prospective accounts and providing outstanding customer service. To oversee and support convenience station and cardlock management and operations, and open dealer contract requirements. This position supervises supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operation.
Interacts Frequently With: Customers; Vendors; Operations/ Lubes/ Fuel Managers; Credit Manager; Convenience Store Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors and Associates, Sales Associates
Customer Relations
Meet or exceed sales and profit goals established in consultation with branch management
Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customers to include key accounts and potential customers
Present new products to customers
Ensure follow up with customers on orders and inquiries
Maintain and update customer pricing
Leadership
Ensure customer satisfaction
Promote company capabilities to customers
Promote Marketing promotions and programs to customers
Develop and maintain vendor relations
Meet vendor contract requirements for volume and image standards
Explain company policies and procedures (warranty information, collections policy, return goods policy, etc.)
Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely basis
Involved in training other associates and acting as a mentor
Assist in development of Annual Strategic Planner to include the sales budget for customer list
Monitor sales trends and product performance results
Coach inside sales associates on account planning to grow accounts and serve the customer more effectively.
Continually enhance sales skills in order to promote professional image
Travel
Maintain face-to-face contact with Convenience Station Supervisors and/or their operations at least 2 times per month
Build and maintain relationships with dealers, including periodic face-to-face visits
Required overall travel estimated 30%, although it will be necessary to travel more or less at times
Accountability and Specific Duties
Maintain an acceptable gross profit margin at each location, both company-owned and dealer sites
Oversee inventory and sales reports are accurate and timely
Supervise Convenience Station Supervisors in all aspects of their duties
Check paperwork and receipts as necessary for accuracy and completeness
Enter and send payroll to Midvale office bi-weekly
Oversee price changes as necessary
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
