Supports the deduction management process by researching and responding to vendor inquiries and disputes.


  • Corresponds with the supplier/vendor for any question or explanation required; may facilitate the resolution of major supplier/vendor issues for a favorable outcome; may engage in discussions with supplier/vendor regarding the audit and dispute resolution process.

  • Reviews client information including contracts, invoices, purchase orders, shipping documents, and other documentation to verify validate deductions taken.

  • Examines electronic data and paper data for supporting documentation to support deductions and supply this documentation to vendors as needed.

  • Able to perform in a workflow driven environment, completing assigned workload in appropriate time frames.

  • Able to communicate professionally in writing or on the phone to assist vendor/suppliers in resolving deduction disputes.


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Prefer 4+ years of experience in an office environment, experience in Accounts Payable strongly preferred

Warehouse receiving experience preferred

This intern will have the unique ability to be part of various audit/advisory teams and will assist in the evaluation of processes and controls in order to mitigate risks that could impair our ability to help the people we serve. The intern will have the unique ability to work on engagements with audit members from each of our US offices and interact with business partners, auditees from various departments/divisions, third party administrators (TPAs) as well as provide direct assistance to our external auditors. * Timely execution of portions of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan. * Assist in developing audit scope of review in conjunction with the Auditor-in-Charge. * Support the creation of risk-based audit programs. * Perform portions of complex financial and/or operational audits utilizing independent judgment and discretion. * Conduct audit testing of specified area and identify reportable issues * Determine compliance with policies and procedures. * Verbally communicate findings to Auditor-in-Charge and draft comprehensive and complete documentation of audited area. * Comfortable working in both an office-based and virtual team-based collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will Pursuing Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related field. Good writing skills. Proficiency in problem solving and analytical thinking. Demonstrate effective time management skills. Ability to work independently, multi task and deal with changing priorities.
