Located 30 miles north of downtown Dallas, Omni PGA Frisco Resort is the largest resort currently in development in the country. Opening spring 2023, the resort will feature 500 guest rooms and suites, 10 four-bedroom ranch houses, three pools, including an adults-only rooftop infinity pool, a destination spa, Lounge by Top Golf, and over 127,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. An expansive retail and entertainment district will feature dining, shopping and an outdoor stage set to be activated for concerts and outdoor programming. The Resort will become a leading destination for golf providing an unparalleled experience for those who are advanced players, new to the game, and everything in between. The resort will offer 46 holes of golf designed by Beau Welling and Gil Hanse, including two 18-hole championship golf courses, a lighted 10-hole short course, and a lighted two-acre putting green.
Job Description
Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking an outgoing Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. Omni Frisco PGA Resort will provide north Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we will provide incredible options for our guests and local community for dining, events, and entertainment.
The Retail Assistant Manager will partner with the Director of Retail to oversee 6 Retail shops on property. The shops will include:
This team member will partner with management to ensure proper training and supervision of all retail staff. Delivering not only excellent service according to Omni PGA Frisco standards but also true hospitality and WOW moments.
Responsibilities
Able to partner with Manager and fulfill duties such as payroll, scheduling, praise and discipline.
Able to have professional communication with guests & associates.
Able to partner with other departments with the intention of taking care of the guests, owners and associates.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the Resort.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
Hold pre-shift meetings and ensure department training requirements are met monthly.
Host, Plan & lead monthly ATGT meetings.
Handle guest comments and complaints to ensure member and guest satisfaction.
Proficiency in controlling a budget & ordering supplies.
Experienced in creating Synergy work tickets when issue arise.
Being available during peak hours. Motivating the team and assisting when needed.
Observe, teach and correct staff's service in a professional manner.
Assist manager in scheduling and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
Participate in interviewing/recruiting as needed.
Assist in monthly MOS audits.
Conduct quarterly inventories, auditing results & adjusting variances.
Review Micros reports daily/weekly, file them in the folder for the Audit.
Prepare the shops for the Coyle Audit, AAA Audits, Self Audits.
Maintain knowledge of the resort property and events.
Review Invoices & merchandise on the daily deliveries to ensure accuracy.
Sign off on Kronos time & attendance daily/weekly.
Monitor & Approve employee time off requests in Kronos.
Coordinate New Hire Training schedules, new hire onboarding, (ensure all new hires have been given a property tour, complete the new hire checklist).
Attend the Weekly touch-base meeting with the Supervisor & the Director of retail
Attend daily Manager Stand Up meetings at 9am or 4pm.
Address employee concerns in a timely manner.
Assisting the Director with scheduling & hosting retail private events, they result in Revenue from ($6,000 - $30,000)
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Retail.
Qualifications
1 - 2 year of experience in management or supervision or role preferred.
Must have and maintain Texas TABC certifications.
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi task.
Prior cash handling experience preferred
Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must have the ability to manage deadlines.
Basic familiarization of financials including retail cost and cost of sales is preferred.
Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills.
Must know emergency procedures plus work to communicate and prevent accidents.
Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance.
