NHC Lewisburg is seeking a person with a heart for geriatrics for the combined position of Restorative Tech/Life Enrichment Assistant. The Restorative Tech position requires someone who is a compassionate, caring, team player with excellent customer service skills and able to work in a fast paced rehab environment. The Life Enrichment Assistant works with our patients and is responsible for providing recreation opportunities which meet the physical, social, mental, emotional and/or spiritual needs of each resident while providing an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. The qualified candidate for this position should be mature and self-motivated and have a passion for seniors.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience working with patients in the rehab setting.

Duties include:

• assisting in patient care,
• performing restorative therapy with patients,
• leading small group activities,
• working with patients to maintain or restore their physical, mental, and psychosocial abilities
• working with the nursing, rehab and activities staff in order to provide quality care to the patients we serve

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent..

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

• Ability to perform mental, physical and emotional requirements of the job.

• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, families, and coworkers.
