VACANCY NOTICE
Title: Restorative In-School Support Program Assistant
Anticipated Opening for the 2024/2025 School Year- This position is contingent upon sufficient funding and School Committee approval.
POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist the RISS Coordinator in the daily Tier 2 behavioral interventions for select students.

Methuen Public Schools enrolls approximately 7000 in a total of five schools. Methuen Public Schools has four PK-8 schools: the Comprehensive Grammar School, the Marsh Grammar School, the Tenney Grammar School, the Timony Grammar School, and one comprehensive high school: Methuen High School. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required with associates degree or higher preferred
Bilingual preferred - Primary languages spoken in the community are: English, Spanish, Arabic, and French.

Experience working with young children primarily in grades 3-8.
Experience assisting in program implementation.
Ability to work with professional staff.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students.
Work with students of diverse backgrounds with diverse needs in an equitable and inclusive manner.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality.
Strong collaboration skills and able to work in a team setting.
Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some of the above qualifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor students receiving Tier 2 behavioral management of select students (In-school time outs, In school Suspensions)
Collect and return classwork from teachers for students as directed by the RISS Coordinator.
Provide academic support as needed
Collect data
