Job Responsibilities
In conjunction with or in absence of the Restaurant Manager, supervises the physical appearance and ambience of the restaurants, bars, and server stations, including table settings and arrangements, floors, drapes, lighting, and music
Coordinates the reservations and seating of residents and their guests in an efficient, courteous, and hospitable manner
Schedules stations and work assignments for FOH staff and ensures that all standards are met
Records meal counts and additional charges using POS system
Assists in supervising resident market, including pick up orders and meal deliveries
Assists with set-up and catering for resident, marketing, employee, and other scheduled special events
Consults with Restaurant Managers, Executive Chefs, and Director of Food & Beverage Services regarding any food, staffing, or service issues as needed
Qualifications
At least 1 year of supervisory experience in fine dining restaurant, hotel, country club or other similar setting required
At least 1 year of experience as a lead server or host/hostess in same setting
ABC license and 6 months' bartending experience a plus
ServSafe certification preferred
Working knowledge of Point-of-Serve (POS) systems
Ability to explain menus, answer questions, respond to requests, and coordinate meal service process
Communicates effectively with all levels, including FOH staff, culinary team, other departments, residents, and guests
