About The Job:

Shift Leaders are responsible for supervising employees and general operations of the restaurant. The ideal candidate for this position would possess excellent customer service skills to respond to the needs of customers. In addition, this candidate would be self-motivated and ready to assist the managers with any tasks that need to be executed to keep our facilities well-maintained and running smoothly. This person would be knowledgeable of store operations and PFJ's commitment to quality and customer service.

The primary schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday, between the hours of 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM, to be scheduled approximately 15 - 20 hours per week, but will not exceed 29 hours per week. If selected, CPR/First Aid Certification will be provided. The ideal candidate will be interested in working with children in summer camps and youth sports programs. Interviews will be conducted for this position on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Selected candidates will receive separate notification via email and must be available on the date/time scheduled; no makeup time will be given. Upon conclusion of interviews, selected candidates will be required to participate in the following process on the date/time scheduled; no makeup dates will be allowed: * Onboarding - Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM The City reserves the right to consider only the most highly qualified applicants. The succeeding examination processes may be required: training and experience, testing, panel interview, employment eligibility verification (EEV) requirements, personnel evaluation profile (PEP), polygraph test, background investigation and alcohol/drug screening test. Appointment subject to successful background investigation and City paid post-employment medical examination after offer of employment has been made. Class Description: Incumbent is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks that directly relates to recreation programs, camps, and events. Education & Experience/Licensing & Training Education & Experience: Recreation Leader I: Must be at least 16 years of age. Recreation Leader II: Must be at least 16 years of age and one (1) year of experience in youth or adult recreation or educational programs. Recreation Leader III: Must be at least 16 years of age and two (2) years of experience in youth or adult recreation or educational programs. Recreation Leader IV: Must be at least 18 years of age and three (3) years in youth or adult recreation or educational programs. Licensing & Training: * Valid Arizona Driver's License of appropriate class. * CPR/First Aid Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency. Essential Duties/Knowledge & Skills Essential Duties: These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary. Recreation Leader I: * Assists with recreation programs, camps, and events. * Assists with set-up and break down of program sites and events. * Administers basic First Aid, when needed. * Makes certain facility/program rules and regulations are followed. * Cautions guests about unsafe practices and provides education. * Conducts daily facility/program safety checks. * Assists in cleaning and maintenance of the facility. * Provides customer service. * Accountable for program equipment. * Attends trainings and staff meetings. * Assists with the completion of reports as needed. * Maintains regular attendance. * Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Recreation Leader II: All of the above duties in addition to the following: * Assists in training staff at assigned program or camp. * Completes reports as needed. Recreation Leader III: All of the above duties in addition to the following: * Serves as a lead over lower-level unclassified staff. * Trains staff assigned to teach classroom curriculum, including but not limited to: art, literature,cooking, science, and dance. * Oversees youth/adult sports programs, officiating, spectators, and participant behavior at youth sports events, recreation programs, youth camps, and special events. * Administers First Aid/CPR when needed. * Initiates Emergency Response System. * Implements and enforces facility/program rules and regulations Recreation Leader IV: All of the above duties in addition to the following: * Monitors daily operations of assigned youth and adult sports programs, officiating, spectators, participant behavior, recreation programs, youth camps and various community events. Knowledge of: * The principles of good safety practice.
