Overview

Austin Cambria Downtown Hotel is hiring Full-Time Restaurant Servers, with Barista experience

Must be available to work various days of the week, including weekends and holidays, 3 PM - Midnight.

This is a dual role - your primary role will be as a restaurant server but you may also be asked to assist as a backup barista based on hotel demands.

We expect our restaurant servers to be Guest Service Experts, creating an experience that is memorable and unique - with food and drinks on the side. Our Guest Service Experts take the initiative and deliver a wide range of services to make sure that guests enjoy their meal.

Qualifications

Experience:

No matter what position you are in, there are a few things that are critical to a Guest Service Experts success - creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.

Requirements:

• Excellent command of English: verbal, reading and writing; can effectively communicate with guest, ability to describe menu, drink items, and wine list.
• Prior restaurant server experience required.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills with appropriate behavior and appearance expected at a 5-Star hotel.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy with a sense of urgency when needed.
• Basic mathematical and calculator skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods, up to entire shift; walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Able to extending arms; frequent bending and stooping and ability to carry and/or lift up to 25 lbs without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
• Previous hotel or hospitality fine dining server experience preferred.

Required certifications: TABC & Food Handlers

Licenses or Certificates

Ability to provide or obtain the Food Handler License issued by an accredited food handler training program in the state of Texas.

Grooming/Uniforms

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process.
