Job Summary:
The Restaurant Manager oversees all aspects of restaurant operations at La Paloma Country Club, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for members and guests. This individual is responsible for managing service standards, staff training, and overall operational efficiency while maintaining high levels of member satisfaction. The Restaurant Manager plays a key role in delivering outstanding hospitality and ensuring seamless coordination between front-of-house and culinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Restaurant Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and dining areas, ensuring adherence to club standards and an exceptional service experience.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to align menu offerings with service execution for a cohesive dining experience.
- Maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere for members and guests while upholding the highest hospitality standards.
- Monitor and improve service workflows to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Member & Guest Relations:
- Ensure a personalized and memorable dining experience by engaging with members and addressing concerns promptly.
- Gather and implement member feedback to enhance service quality and dining offerings.
- Foster a culture of hospitality and service excellence among the team.
Staff Supervision & Training:
- Recruit, train, and develop restaurant service staff, emphasizing professionalism and hospitality.
- Conduct ongoing training programs focused on service techniques, menu knowledge, and club expectations.
- Schedule and supervise front-of-house staff to ensure optimal coverage and smooth operations during peak dining hours and events.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and service standards.
- Promote and enforce proper food handling and service practices among staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all service areas, adhering to club and health department standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role in a high-end hospitality setting (country club experience preferred).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with members and staff.
- Experience with inventory management, cost controls, and financial reporting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in food safety and responsible service (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
