Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years as a manager in a full service (table service with full bar) restaurant.

  • Solid track record of success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Must be dependable, reliable and motivated.

  • Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, sit, squat or walk for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to work closing shifts and evenings as needed.

  • Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

VIEW JOBS 5/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-08-17T00:00 Position Description The Nashville Strong Babies (NSB) project is designed to provide pre and postnatal care, case management and home-visiting services for approximately 700 women, infants and men in Nashville and Davidson County annually. The primary goal of the project is to reduce the disparities in infant deaths that exist across racial and ethnic groups in our community. Then you need to apply to become a Health Manager 1 (Healthy Start) at the Metro Nashville Public Health Department (MPHD). The focus for this position will be to provide implementation oversight for the program and to provide hands-on management of personnel. Typical Duties * Provides leadership, strategic direction and steady oversight to ensure all components of the project are high quality, customer-focused, and provided in a manner consistent with MPHD's commitment to public health equity. * Identifies stakeholders and garners their support to help implement related policies, systems, and environmental strategies to achieve positive perinatal and infant health outcomes in identified target areas. * Assists with formation and provides ongoing support of the multi-disciplinary Community Action Network; interacts with the Network to elicit actionable recommendations and reasonable strategies to direct the project toward its goal of reducing preventable perinatal disparities. * Supervises and coaches multi-disciplinary program staff members to implement case management and care coordination approaches; leads the NSB Core Leadership Team. * Provides fiscal oversight by preparing grant reports and other documents as needed to maintain compliance with existing grants and contracts. * Ensures NSB staff completes on-going training and provides quality improvement support in the implementation of the NSB project. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of progressively responsible full-time paid employment in related field required. One (1) year within the past two (2) years in a public administration/supervisory capacity preferred. Completed graduate degree in a directly related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. MPHD seeks to be a socially and culturally responsive organization that acknowledges and addresses historical and current inequities in our public health promotion and practice. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work with multicultural communities. Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply, however at the present time MPHD is not sponsoring individuals through any of the US Government's employment-based immigration programs. Valid driver's license, use of personal vehicle, and maintenance of valid personal vehicle insurance as required by Tennessee Law.
