Experience: 3-5 years

Minimum Education: Technical School Graduate or Degree

Certifications: Universal EPA

HVAC/R, Kitchen Equipment, Ice Machines, and Basic Maintenance Skills

VIEW JOBS 8/25/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-23T00:00 Overview We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to work with a leading EPC company based out of Waynesburg, PA. Our client has a presence in 48 countries worldwide, with state-of-the-art industrial assets on all continents and their own fleet of specialized vessels for pipeline installations and subsea construction, as well as providing a wide range of services, including design, engineering, construction, fabrication and environmental services. Responsibilities This position reports to the Maintenance and Facilities Department. The primary function of this position is to maintain repairs and troubleshoots production machinery (e.g., CNC mills and lathes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems) and the facility infrastructure. The Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing or arranging for the repair of all building operating systems on the site. Responsibilities include: * Responsible for all preventive maintenance, necessary maintenance and repairs to the buildings mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and to the production machinery or process equipment. This involves normal lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, replacement of consumable parts (such as filters, indicator lights, etc.), and periodic testing of the equipment. * Monitors mechanical, electrical, HVAC plumbing, life safety, fire protection and security systems to ensure proper operations and takes action or reports any conditions that are out of the ordinary. * Tasking includes repairing equipment or developing alternative solutions to present as repair options. In some cases, a creative solution must be implemented to keep production operational while the technically best or correct solution is found. * Responds to customer complaints in the areas of safety, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and environmental needs through both personal contact and work order systems. * Prepares and maintains maintenance logs, records and work order details. * Uses preventative maintenance and work order software systems. * Performs all assigned work, to ensure the safety of the building's tenants and the continuous operation of the site. * A major responsibility is to maintain a safe work environment for everyone on site. * Prioritizing work, finding efficient ways to accomplish tasks, and then communicating them are key to success. Qualifications * High school education or GED required. * 3 - 5 years mechanical drive train and hydraulic component experience. * 3 - 5 years machine shop experience preferred. * Familiar with and have working knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, fire protection and security systems * Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools. * Experience using presses, overhead cranes, pressure gauges and precision measuring instruments. * Good trouble-shooting and communication skills, e.g., evaluating symptoms, determining root causes. * Ability to read and interpret data from charts, gauges, dials, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals as needed when making adjustments, repairs or installations. * Ability to understand spoken and written instructions. * Able to make judgment calls with regards to necessity. * Proficient in basic computer applications and software. * Good safety skills as to maintaining safe working conditions and safe work practices, e.g., lock-out/tag-out. * Ability to get familiar with and conforms to all written operating procedures associated with site. * Works with minimal supervision and must be proactive.
