POSITION OBJECTIVE:
We are seeking a talented Restaurant Floor Manager to join Dōgon. We are elated to partner with renowned Chef Kwame Onwuachi. He is returning to the nation's capital to bring a bold and imaginative restaurant concept to Salamander Washington DC in Spring 2024.The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a proven track record in fine dining restaurant management, and the ability to deliver exceptional service in a sophisticated setting. As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the fine dining establishment within the hotel, ensuring a flawless dining experience for guests and maintaining high standards of quality and service
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Lead and manage the operations of the fine dining restaurant within the luxury hotel, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and guest relations.
Develop and implement service standards, SOPs, and training programs to ensure exceptional service and consistency in guest experience.
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise restaurant staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Plan and coordinate special events, promotions, and themed dining experiences to enhance the restaurant's offerings and attract guests.
Monitor and control operational costs, including labor, food, beverage, and supplies, to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction, handle guest feedback and complaints effectively, and work to exceed guest expectations.
Collaborate with the hotel's food and beverage team, kitchen staff, and suppliers to ensure seamless operations and menu development.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor analysis to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
Uphold the hotel's brand standards, values, and reputation, creating memorable experiences for guests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in restaurant management, with a focus on fine dining or upscale hospitality.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Proven track record in operational management, financial acumen, and problem-solving in a restaurant setting.
Understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and guest preferences in the fine dining segment.
Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
