You'll focus on coordinating and overseeing the organisation's charitable activities, designing and implementing programmes to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all environmental regulations, and developing policies and programmes to ensure organisational awareness of government legislation and regulatory issues that affect the organisation. Our Sustainability and Social Responsibility team works to enhance PwC's brand and reputation as a socially responsible leader. As part of the team, you'll help us plan initiatives that continue to make PwC a reliable and socially responsible partner in the accounting market place, our communities, and to our existing and potential clients.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria

  • Train, coach, and supervise team members

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

  • Creating, managing and executing the Purpose activation plan for a global consulting firm that ties the business and societal issues that are important to its clients, employees, and stakeholders;

  • Understanding the relationship between the firm's Purpose, business strategy, culture, and values;

  • Developing and delivering both short- and long-term Purpose activation activities that bring PwC's Purpose to life for employees, clients, and society; and,

  • Understanding a global consulting firm's strategy, matrixed structure (sectors, markets, lines of service, internal functions), and processes, and how to leverage that knowledge to generate data-driven solutions that align to other firm activities and strategies.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Leveraging research, data from various sources, stakeholder needs ("voice of the customer"), analytical and organizational skills to identify trends and develop solutions to activate Purpose;

  • Developing in-person and virtual relationships to execute on Purpose activation activities by collaborating with internal groups and/or functional areas such as Human Capital, Communications and Change Management, and Marketing and Sales, as well as the client-facing Lines of Service;

  • Utilizing progressive project management skills to balance multiple Purpose activation activities, working independently and exercising discretionary judgment;

  • Utilizing written and verbal communication skills to identify key messages, influencing key decision-makers and contributing to Purpose-related content development across various internal and external sources;

  • Exhibiting agility and ability to develop and leverage multiple relationships across businesses and functions;

  • Applying a knowledge of overall firm business objectives and how the firm's focus on Purpose contributes to its goals and overall brand;

  • Managing and maintaining a budget for Purpose activation;

  • Contributing to a highly virtual team environment which includes collaborating with colleagues across the matrix on cross-functional initiatives that drive Purpose activation;

  • Utilizing interpersonal and relationship management skills to interface comfortably with senior partners, clients, and external contacts of all levels;

  • Leveraging research, data, and insights to develop and execute both short-term (i.e. monthly) as well as long-term (i.e. quarterly / annual) solutions that keep Purpose top of mind for our people and our clients;

  • Interfacing with clients to share practices and lessons learned regarding Purpose activation; and,

  • Navigating through and producing results within a complex, matrix organizational structure and establishing priorities serving a diverse stakeholder group.
