Work Schedule:

90% FTE, 36 hours per week. Rotating 8 or 12-hour day/evening, evening/night, or day/night shifts. Every other weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation required. If 100% FTE: Monday

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to:

  • Provide treatment and diagnostic respiratory services to patients.

  • Work at an ECMO Center of Excellence and Level 1 Trauma Center.

  • Be an important member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

  • Act as a resource to physicians and health care professionals.

  • Gain experience within the organization and seek growth opportunities, which may include senior/lead roles and ECMO Specialist positions.

Pay:

  • UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

  • This position includes a weekend and shift differential.

  • External hires may be eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

  • Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants.

Education:

Minimum

  • Graduate of a COARC accredited School for Respiratory Therapy.

Work Experience:

Preferred

  • Recent respiratory therapist experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the State of Wisconsin.

  • CPR Certified.

  • RRT Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care for individuals with greater than six months post-graduation. RRT eligible new graduates must obtain the RRT credential within six (6) months of hire.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification required for any AFCH RT position within six (6) months of hire.
