Must demonstrate knowledge of all Respiratory Care equipment in terms of applications, limitations, troubleshooting, and alternative course of actions. Must possess a broad scope of knowledge in the pathology of disease with focus on cardiopulmonary pathophysiology and respiratory care treatment of disease statesResponsibilities include: * Administer advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and provide mechanical ventilation for adults, children and infants * Use invasive and noninvasive technology to assist with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary disorders * Sample (arterial puncture) and analyze arterial blood gas Sample (arterial puncture) and analyze arterial blood gases * Inspect, operate, maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment (oxygen equipment, Cpap, ventilators, and blood gas analyzers) and other life support systems.Qualifications include: * Must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care. Bachelor Degree preferred. * Must possess a current valid NYS license as a Respiratory Therapy Therapist. * Must be currently active and registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).* BLS certification required; ACLS preferred * Specialty Credentials, one or more of the following preferred:*
