Job Description Job Description Hattie Larlham is looking for caring and compassionate Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) who want to be part of a mission based on the Comfort, Joy, and Achievement of individuals with disabilities. Nestled in northern Portage County, between Cleveland and Akron, is the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities, a long-term residential facility that provides medical services for 124 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Opening: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location: Mantua, OH, less than 10 minutes from the I-480 exit in Streetsboro. Schedule: Full-Time 36 hours per week, 12-hr shifts, every other weekend required.

Requirements & Qualifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC. Current Ohio state license of active status and without disciplinary action.
Associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from an AMA-approved school. BCLS certification – free training / recertification provided. Experience in chronic care and ventilators, and knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferred.
Responsibilities and Daily Duties: Provide high quality respiratory therapy services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the Hattie Larlham Center. Patient population: infants, children, adolescents and young adults with neurological impairments.
Manage acute and chronic respiratory problems in collaboration with the Hattie Larlham medical director. Maintain appropriate documentation to comply with regulatory agencies, and communicating effectively with the medical director, director of nursing, nurses, families/guardians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team as appropriate. Work as a team to ensure high quality health services to each person served.
Assist with training / mentoring of new Respiratory Therapist staff as assigned. Complete checklists, incident reports, data collection, monthly summaries as required. Demonstrate respect, trust, and confidentiality regarding persons served, families, and co-workers.
Other related duties as requested by the direct supervisor.
