Respiratory Therapist (Rcp) - Casual Status - Encinitas

Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.

This position is a Casual Status, Day Shift 0600-1830 (12 hour shift). Located at our Encinitas Memorial Hospital. Availability required is one shift every week and 1 weekend shift in a month. The training schedule is full time hours.

Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist within our Respiratory Therapy department at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Use your technical skills and experience to help our team in this exciting and fast-paced environment. The Respiratory Therapist, in collaboration with other caregivers:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care

• Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit

• Responds to critical situations

• Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties

• Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.

Required:

• Current California RCP license

• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification

• Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public.

• Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.

• Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.

Preferred:

• Prefer one or more years acute care experience.

• Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.

• NICU experience

Position Pay Range: $38.57-$57.85/hour
