Respiratory Therapist-Pediatric & Neonatal Critical Care Transport-Ft-2Nd Shift-Sign On Bonus

Overview

Kids Care, our region's pediatric and neonatal transport team, consists of highly trained RN's and RT's that specialize in transporting critical neonatal and pediatric patients. This position represents patient care directed towardthe stabilization and safe transport of critical pediatric/neonatal patients to Huntsville Hospital Women and Children's. Patient care is also given in clinical areas throughout the hospital such as the Pediatric ICU or Neonatal ICU.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

Experience:Minimum 1 year critical care experience required, preferred in Pediatric ICU or Neonatal ICU. Additional experience relating to intubation is preferred.

License, Certification and/or Registration:

Must be licensed by the ASBRT and registered by the NBRC.

Certification of BLS required at time of hire.

PALS, ACLS, and NRP required within six months of hire.

Additional Skills/ Abilities:Must be able to work with a high level of autonomy and have excellent communication skills. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and perform well in stressful situations.

Must have excellent assessment skills and effectively troubleshoot any problems that arise. Must have the ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas of EKG, Bronchial Hygiene, Oxygen Therapy, Respiratory Diagnostic Procedures, and all levels of Mechanical Ventilation.
