Full Time Nightshift: 12 hour shifts 6pm-6am

$10K Student Loan Repayments

As a Respiratory Therapist, at Flowers Hospital, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist

• Respiratory Therapist License issued by the State of Alabama

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

About the Job:

• Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies.\

• Is responsible for the administration of all Respiratory Care modalities on all age groups of patients from neonate through geriatric.

• Collaborates with other professionals in and out of the Hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.

• Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.

• Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and general care areas.

• Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments.

• Initiates, monitors and manages patient's oxygen through various devices including high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.

• Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
