Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support KPS and our government customer in Oklahoma City, OK. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Perform diagnostic tests, including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families on respiratory health and proper use of equipment. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives Participate in continuing education to enhance professional skills Education, Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: US Citizenship is required by the government customer Ability to successfully meet the background investigation requirements Must have a current unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Oklahoma Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialing (RRT or CRT) Previous experience in a clinical setting. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Current BLS Must be able to speak, understand, read and write English fluently Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
