Purpose of Job Position
As a Consulate Health Care Respiratory Therapist, you are entrusted with the responsibility of caring for our residents, families, co-workers, visitors and all others; as well as demonstrating in all interactions, Consulate Health Care's five core values of Compassion, Honesty, Integrity, Respect and Passion. The primary purpose of your job position is to provide treatment, management, and care related to deficiencies or abnormalities associated with respiration to patients/residents requiring care. You are entrusted to provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assesses, plans, and evaluates respiratory care needs of patients/residents requiring subacute care.
Provides respiratory care utilizing all respiratory treatment modalities.
Performs respiratory care procedures as ordered for patients/residents requiring subacute care.
Maintains respiratory therapy equipment.
Serves as a resource for respiratory concerns for unit personnel.
Serves as preceptor, as delegated, for new respiratory personnel.
Participates in patient/resident and family education outlined in the plan of care.
Conducts self in a professional manner in compliance with unit and facility policies.

May be trained and assigned to perform the Customer Care Liaison duties as needed.
Perform all other duties, as assigned.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited program for Respiratory Therapists and current state license to practice profession.
Must possess a minimum of one (1) year experience in a critical care setting preferred.
