Location: Jamestown, ND

Shift: 4-5 Days a Week, Flexible Hours (No Weekends or Holidays)

Job Schedule: Full Time

Weekly Hours: 40

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to perform pulmonary assessments, testing techniques, treatment, management, control, care for infants, pediatrics and young adults with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiorespiratory systems. This position on a daily shift assesses and maintains respiratory equipment and supplies; and provides consultation to other staff in the care of the clients at all levels of care as well as education to staff and family members.

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)

Education and/or years' experience required:

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program

• Posses a current, unencumbered license from the State of North Dakota, as a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner; have BLS certification.

• Required to complete continuing education of contact hours, to maintain RT license, per the Board of Respiratory Therapy regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES (scope and complexity):

This position assumes the authority, responsibility and accountability for evaluating, modifying and coordinating respiratory treatment plans; evaluating equipment settings, making adjustments and recommendations as needed; and for completing diagnostic respiratory testing to and for the clients at ACC.

The Respiratory Therapist will work with nursing staff and physician to best meet the respiratory and overall needs of the individuals served.
