Respiratory Care Practitioner

Assesses need, administers, and evaluates response to respiratory care procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, hyperinflation therapy, and bronchial hygiene therapies. Provides mechanical ventilatory support and CPR. Assists physicians with bronchoscopies. Performs arterial and venous blood draws, operates ABG machines, and performs EKG's and pulmonary function screenings.

Required qualifications:

• Education sufficient for license/registration.

• Required upon hire: California Respiratory Care Practitioner License

• Required upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

• Required within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications:

• upon hire: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (for all therapists
• 1 year Experience following RCP licensure.
