Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Respiratory Care Practitioners Iwho under training conditions administer a full range of respiratory therapy services to assess patients with serious respiratory compromise. Duties include performing and evaluating pertinent diagnostic test results; developing care plans and performing necessary interventions; evaluating outcomes and adjusting respiratory care to achieve patient care goals; and handling difficult respiratory management cases.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

1)Must maintain Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification throughout employment. 2)Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation and medical examination including drug screening.

3. If selected, applicants are required to work various shifts, which may include weekends and holidays. Failure to indicate availability for rotating, day, swing and night shifts, weekends and holidays will disqualify applicants from the examination process.

4. Respiratory Care Practitioners I are eligible for promotion toRespiratory Care PractitionerII ($53,913.60 - $74,068.80 Annually)upon meeting the minimum qualifications and receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must promote within twelve (12) months or be terminated.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet ALL of the following:

LICENSE: Must possess and maintain a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the California State Respiratory Care Board.

CREDENTIAL:Must possess and maintain a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

CERTIFICATION:Mustpossess Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS)certification.

SHIFT AVAILABILITY: Must be available to workALL SHIFTS (DAY, SWING, NIGHT, ROTATING and WEEKEND). Indicate availability on the Supplemental Questionnaire.
