Respiratory Therapist

This offer is contingent upon:

  • Obtaining an RRT credential recognized by the NBRC
  • Obtaining a temporary or permanent RCP license issued by the TMB (Texas Medical Board)

This is an outstanding opportunity for you as a Respiratory Therapist to play an essential part in helping Children's Health makes life better for children. As part of our multidisciplinary critical care team, you'll use your training and skills to provide evidence-based care, deliver instruction to patients and their families.

We have opportunities for respiratory therapists with Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (RRT/NPS) credentials to work in our pediatric ICU, neonatal ICU, and cardiac ICU at Children's Health in Dallas.

In addition to patient care, you'll have opportunities to expand your skills through continuing education and help develop educational programs for other staff. You will also be responsible for incorporating research findings that you encounter into clinical practice and for sharing those findings with colleagues.

Experience

  • Respiratory Therapy Internship

Education

  • Required: Two-year associate degree

  • Preferred: Four-year Bachelor's degree

Licenses and certifications

  • Required: RRT recognized by the NBRC and an active Texas license

  • Required: BLS through the American Heart Association

  • Required: NRP within 180 days of hire

  • Required: PALS certification within 180 days of hire

  • Required: RRT-NPS recognized by the NBRC within 24 months of hire
