Students beginning their Respiratory Therapy education program in the fall semester are encouraged to apply for this paid internship.

• Application deadline is July 1, 2024.

• Candidate interviews will take place on July 10, 2024.

• Must be available to attend orientation August 13-15, 2024.

Job Summary:

Performs basic duties to support the Respiratory Care Staff in accordance with the hospital's objectives, policies and procedures. The individual will have a mentor identified for resource and support. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Experience working in a patient care setting (hospital, nursing home) is preferred. Inventory/stocking experience is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program is required. Student will remain in good standing. High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

Equipment processing and cleaning training.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Organization/Time management. Good communication skills.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
