Plan short to medium term product requirements to ensure that corporate customer service and inventory targets are achieved. This is done while considering both material availability and capacity management. Position may be responsible for managing assets across site, region or global locations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Confirm material availability to create process orders daily for current in house production to support service objectives. This may include creation of stock transport orders from local HUB or other warehouse facilities.
Review material shortages preventing process orders conversion and follow up with appropriate material planner(s)
Maximize Capacity Utilization through advanced planning techniques such as campaign planning, material/resource optimization, and economic production quantity evaluation. Review capacity reports and DS planning board to ensure level loaded forward plan within capacity limitations. Make recommendations based on this analysis to determine line hour needs and 3rd Party manufacturing assistance. Coordinates and executes outsourced work to 3rd party OV to alleviate capacity constraints.
Evaluate days of supply to ensure proper date maintenance, quantity, sequencing and prioritizing of production runs.
Communicate production requirements and sequencing with Production Scheduler
Communicate supply issues to Branded Supply Planning
Resolve quality notifications for rejected materials.
Review termination and delay alerts to ensure only needed products are being planned and run.
Action EXOB for obsolete inventory
Minimum 5 years' of related experience
2 years planning and / or production experience.
Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver), the integration of organization, system and process enterprise wide, and the importance of Master Data in the overall effectiveness and operation of the Supply Chain.
APICS certification preferred
Strong computer (SAP knowledge,Office, Outlook, EXOB,etc.) and interpersonal communication skills.
The ability to work independently with strong decision making skills.
