The Resource Management Lead delivers value-add business operations and resource management support services, including reporting and analysis, to help enable the effective running of operations and planning & forecasting of organizational resources for the Global Product Development (GPD) organizations.
Provides a variety of essential business and resource management support services in support of the GPD business lines to enable effective management of operations.
Maintains and manages resource capacity, FTE tracking and resource forecast data for applicable business customers. Drives data quality improvements to ensure resource attribute information is complete/accurate for resource management purposes.
Contributes to business objectives associated with the FTE Tracking Program and Activity Tracker (AT) time-tracking system. Ensures time-tracking system meets the resource information needs of business customers. Resolves access issues and responds to customer requests concerning proper time coding practices.
Partners with applicable GPD functional line business representatives and Resource Management & Modeling (RMM) group to support development and maintenance of FTE estimating assumptions (algorithms) for use in preparing resource demand forecasts in Planisware system for business planning purposes.
Delivers regular and ad-hoc resource reports, including FTE actual utilization and forecasted resource demand. Supports business customers with resource variance analyses through the delivery of Closed Loop reports.
Proactively surfaces potential resource related issues to business stakeholders based on analysis of resource data. Supports reviews and discussions to resolve resource conflicts.
Maintains workforce data in central SharePoint repository (i.e., Headcount Tracking Database) for assigned business customer line and delivers requisite reports. Provides resource staffing analyses that explains business drivers for monthly changes, trends, etc. in resource staffing levels.
Ensures the consistent use of data standards for estimating resource requirements and costs to support near and long term resource planning activities.
Contributes to continuously improving/evolving the resource management capabilities through the delivery of robust business tools, processes and data.
Bachelor of Science degree preferably in business is required. Advanced academic qualification or degree (e.g., MS or MBA) is a plus.
Minimum prior experience of 5 years related experience, including at least two in pharmaceutical industry in a business or program management support capacity.
Solid understanding of the drug development process and familiarity with the Pfizer operating model.
Experience supporting the management of resources and/ or budgets for a large organization or department.
Familiarity with processing, managing and reporting business information.
Demonstrated ability to establish strong partnerships and working relationships with customers; strives to understand and meet customer requirements.
Experience working in a collaborative team environment as well as an individual contributor, dependent on business situation and need.
Experience leading or owning a business process or function.
Has comprehensive knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories in the business operations discipline, including resource and budget management.
Working knowledge of relevant business and resource information systems and processes to accomplish job duties.
Working knowledge of relevant reporting systems and applications (e.g., Business Objects, Spotfire, etc.).Ability to assimilate and summarize large data sets into consumable information for business customers.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook, etc.).
