Jack's New York group is looking for a Creative Resource Manager to join us! Reporting in to the Director of Operations, the Creative Resource Manager acts as a liaison between the Account, Strategy, Production and Creative teams to ensure that teams are resourced and staffed properly for pitch work through project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resource management for creative, strategy and design teams.

  • Working with the department leads, assign and monitor creative, strategy and design teams on both client, internal and new business assignments.

  • Maintains and updates project tracking grid that is reviewed weekly with the creative, strategy and production teams

  • Sources freelance talent when staff teams are beyond capacity

  • Develop a freelance bench of talent that aligns with key agency offerings. Includes creative, strategy, creative technology, design, UX, and UI.

  • Consistently interviewing creative and strategic talent to insure agency is leveraging highest level of talent available

  • Provides consultative guidance for project teams when developing project plans and approach. Includes talent recommendations, guidance on hours needed to complete the project and provides proactive solutions for delivering client and pitch work.

  • Oversees creative, strategy and design teams output and provide guidance to department leads on team productivity.

  • Flags team issues to department leads to help determine course correction as needed

  • Develop, maintain and adjust creative resource process. Adjust process as needed to insure proper communication between departments and useful tools for teams to get properly resourced and staffed

  • Proactively manage team bandwidth tracking hours per week, week over week, and throughout the year. Flag and provide solutions when bandwidth exceeds reasonable expectations.

  • Insure freelance teams are set up in the system, are provided the resources (computer, email, desk, software) necessary to complete the tasks

  • Ensure invoices for freelance teams are being processed properly and in a timely manner

  • Proactively takes ownership of process and consistently looks for ways to exceed team and client expectations

  • Flawless delivery of client commitments, exceeding client expectations

  • Efficient operation and management of Creative Services team

  • Positive team climate that inspires others to excel and deliver

  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills

  • Demonstrated competencies: attention to detail, flexibility, professional confidence, financial management; agency workflow process; team efficiency and client profitability; complex organization knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

The Resource Manager is responsible for leading operations specific to Resource Management for Valtech US. This role is critical to the success of our business as you'll be defining, implementing, and maintaining industry best practices. You're a proactive and creative solutionist, responsible for capacity planning, maximizing utilization of Valtech talent, and identifying staffing efficiencies across the organization. You'll leverage strong communication skills to collaborate with Valtech employees at all levels of the organization as you predict, prepare, and solve resource shortage and surplus needs. You'll also collaborate with Project Management, Operations, and Finance, to implement organizational strategies, policies, and processes. Key Responsibilities: * Partner with Directors, Capability Leads, Recruiting, and Project Management teams to staff projects with appropriate resources promptly and accurately * Accurately assess and communicate current (day-to-day) and future talent needs and capacity concerns; maximize utilization across project teams * Understand capabilities (skill-sets) and interests of resources; factor information into staffing decisions * Provide weekly/ monthly analysis on resource utilization * Maintain and provide availability information for all resources as well as current and potential future projects * Solicit feedback on the staffing process and adjust as necessary * Lead resource management meetings and initiatives * Communicate policies and procedures as they relate to resource management and timesheet/ project reporting; train new employees as part of onboarding process (OpenAir, other, etc) * Collaborate with other Valtech offices on as-needed basis for resource sharing; make recommendations based on clear knowledge & understanding of group member skill sets across all departments * Maintain, analyze and publish the following reports: Utilization reports by account/ project, time-sheet compliance, and Staffing Trends Qualifications * 5+ years of Industry experience; Proven ability to manage complex initiatives to successful completion * 3+ years of People Management experience; ability to effectively manage in a "matrixed" environment * Demonstrated leadership presence; can work with all levels of the organization * Collaborative, yet can drive to decisions and results * Quick, creative problem solver Works well under pressure * Proactive and self-motivated * Relationship management and influencing skills.
