Description

The Education and Labor Cabinet's mission is to educate, prepare and train Kentucky's current and future workforces. Our goal is to create and make continuous improvements to an education and workforce system that prepares Kentuckians for the 21st century workforce, while helping businesses find the skilled workers they need to compete and create jobs in the Commonwealth.

The Education and Labor Cabinet is seeking to fill a Resource Management Analyst III position located within the Department of Workers' Claims, Division of Security & Compliance, Document Management Branch.

The preferred candidate for this position will demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and work cooperatively with a team.

The preferred candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and a history of working with databases and reports.

Job duties include:

  • Provides professional support by interpreting, recommending, and applying policies regarding the execution of programs related to Workers Compensation Insurance. Acts as a liaison between IT and the DWC on current and developing programs.

  • Works with management and external users regarding the use of and improvement of Litigation Management System (LMS) Professional Employer Organization Registration System (PRS), Computerized Penalty Assessment System (CPAS) and all other Workers' Comp programs. Assess end-user information needs and support business requirement -gathering sessions.

  • Analyzes data from all DWC system databases and makes recommendations on how best to utilize data for the state's needs. Compiles data summaries for external and internal requests.

    Reviews systems, collection methods, and data storage sites and makes recommendations for improvements in hardware and methods. Produces all statutorily mandated reports.

  • Collects, creates, and maintains documentation on all systems. Manages support and training regarding DWC systems.

  • Manages the Departments contracts and purchases using Salesforce and other resources.

This position will have access to confidential and sensitive information. The successful candidate will be required to ensure the safeguarding and security of all confidential and sensitive information and will be required to complete trainings, sign acknowledgements, follow all policies and adhere to all statutes and requirements pertaining to the safeguarding and security of confidential and sensitive information while employed and after employment ends.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of systems analysis, business administration, or public administration experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Related technical or vocational training will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree in computer science, business or public administration will substitute for one year of the experience requirement.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in computer programming, systems analysis, information services, research and statistics, business administration, or public administration will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
