JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for validating accuracy, adequacy, and compliance with industry standards, internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements applicable to the valuation of residential properties. Incumbent must be focused on client satisfaction and provide excellent customer service and ensure that quality valuation reports are handled in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Duties:

  • Reviews requests to identify and resolve any issues then processes the request.

  • Conducts the AVM's, researches, and analyzes to assure the relevant data was utilized and the valuation is reasonable. Determines the acceptability of the evaluation and makes the decision to use the valuation for lending purposes.

  • Reviews reports and/or specific valuation products/services for completeness and accuracy by both internal and external vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Performs complex tasks in handling escalated QC inquires and problems; Provides feedback to appraisers on quality issues.

  • Contacts vendors and/or internal groups to validate information and/or inquire further, requesting updates and corrections, as appropriate.

  • Performs quality control duties on all jobs, tracking requests for changes/updates through completion.

  • Conducts order follow-up, as appropriate, to ensure complete and accurate valuation products/services are delivered according to established SLAs and turnaround times.

  • Writes formal email documentation on specific problems and on process updates.

  • Monitors designated vendors for issues and tracking; May facilitate escalation of quality issues.

  • May be assigned requests that are identified as high-risk, strategic, and/or sensitive, requiring higher level of expertise and experience.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of department procedures and requirements, including a full understanding of operations processes.

  • Ensures quality reviews, corrections, or updates align with defined turn-around times and department SLAs.

  • Updates logs, tracking action items.

  • May train peers within department.

  • Performs evaluations and reviews; Maintains documents and research data to aid in the development and reporting of an evaluation or review.

  • Uses analytical tools to aid in the development of the evaluation or review; researches information using internet and internal database.

  • Conducts in depth review of reports and/or specific valuation products/services for completeness and accuracy by both internal and external vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance; Communicates with the appraiser and works with a senior reviewer to resolve any issues with the reports; Has the ability to make decisions based on standard procedures and policies.

  • Secondary Duties:

  • Balances monthly accounts including the vendor sand accounts receivable.

  • Provides and attends required department training.

  • Prepares for and actively participates in internal and external conference calls.

  • Maintains and updates procedure manuals.

  • May provide monthly or quarterly market reports.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree, Real Estate Sales License, or Licensed Real Estate appraiser with at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with Valuation Services or Real Estate related services

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with standards including USPAP, Appraisal regulations, FDIC, FannieMae, and Appraisal Policy

  • Strong oral and writing communication skills

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines

  • Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.

Acts as an internal resource available to all bank personnel for situations encountered with computer operating systems or associated components and peripherals. Provides technical support by answering questions and resolving problems regarding all aspects of the banks departmental computer software applications. Develops in-dept knowledge of the information needs of the business unit and pursues the technical skills to support those needs. Develop in depth knowledge of database and database structures to provide application support for the business units. Monitors systems in the business unit and resolves errors and inefficiencies. Provide (Level 2) support for departments that have logged problem calls with the Service Desk.   Accepts and updates call tickets as appropriate. Installs or assists service personnel in installation of hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on user's premises. Loads specified software packages such as operating systems, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into computer. Enters commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operation. Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems. Instructs users in use of equipment, software and manuals. Coordinates activities with help desk, network services or other information systems groups. Replaces defective or inadequate software packages. Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction. Secondary Duties Develops in-depth knowledge of applications used by other busness units as assigned. Acts as internal resource for assigned business units as it relates to any situation encountered with computer hardware or software. May be asked to work nights, weekends and holidays. May be included in an on-call rotation. Provides guidance and mentoring to Desktop Services technicians and team members. Provides level 1 support as needed. Some travel may is required.
