Lumina Solar is looking for a Residential Solar Installer to join our team in Maryland.

As a Solar Installer on the Residential team, you will play a critical role in our solar operations, encompassing not only the installation and commissioning of energy systems but also resolving equipment issues, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and codes, and maintaining high-quality workmanship. This versatile individual will be instrumental in improving processes and supporting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our solar installations.

In this role, you'll get to:

• Load and unload materials at the warehouse, ensuring you have all necessary materials for each job

• Load and unload materials at the job site, ensuring all necessary materials are present and organized, while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment

• Install and commission energy systems on roofs, including array layout and mounting hardware, tailored to site conditions and customers' needs and expectations

• Adhere to building standards and codes when installing panels and support structures

• Address and resolve equipment issues and failures onsite efficiently

• Perform routine maintenance on energy systems to ensure optimal performance

• Utilize your knowledge to enhance processes and proactively review the quality of workmanship onsite.

• Work closely with team members and communicate job status to management effectively

• Ensure all equipment is properly weather-sealed to maintain system integrity

• Keep company vehicles well-maintained, fully stocked, and properly serviced

• Follow all safety regulations and policies to ensure a safe working environment

• Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall project success

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in solar installation

• Proficiency in safely handling power and hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materials

• Ability to read and interpret building plans and equipment manuals

• Comfortable working at great heights, including on pitched rooftops, climbing ladders, and navigating stairs

• Ability to work in various extreme environments, such as hot sun, cold weather, crawl spaces, and attics

• Capable of lifting at least 75 pounds.

• Valid driver's license required

• OSHA Certification is preferred.

• Vocational or technical school training is preferred
