Our May Center Schools for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, and our May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders offer full-day, year-round educational services to children and adolescents.

Our schools focus on building communication, social, behavioral, vocational, and academic skills. We base our programs on applied behavior analysis, or ABA, which has been shown through hundreds of scientific studies to be the most effective method to teach children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities.

The May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders successfully educates students with complex needs and co-occurring diagnoses. These young people often require a combination of physical, medical, cognitive and social/behavioral therapies in an environment that supports skill development and rehabilitation.

The May Center School Randolph is looking for a Residential Scheduling Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage accurate master schedules for the residential programs and track changes as they occur.

  • Manage and update the vacancy report to reflect staff resignations, new hires, and staff schedule changes.

  • Develop training schedules for new residential employees and communicate the schedule to the staff/management/clinical team.

  • Track and fill open shifts due to vacancies, sick calls, earned leave, etc.

  • Track and monitor overtime shifts to ensure staffing rules and regulations are maintained.

  • Maintain current list of residential employees and manage an up to date phone list.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Director of Residential Services and Assistant Residential Directors regarding current and future staffing needs.

  • Coordinate weekly staff schedules with monthly training schedule to ensure proper coverage of the residences.

  • Monitor, maintain, and generate reports regarding staff attendance by identifying patterns and communicating concerns to the Director of Residential Services.

  • Manage, collect, and communicate leave requests to Director of Residential Services and HR Department.

  • Manage employees change of status request/schedule change request and respond to staff in writing.

  • Approve and manage all time off requests.

  • Verify and approve all school staff timesheets for extra shifts at the residences.

  • Develop and generate vacant shift reports as requested.

  • Preserve the rights of all students and their families

  • Maintains the confidentiality of all students

  • Adheres to all The May Center School's Policies and Procedures regarding Student Protections and Student Records

  • Follows the ethical standards of the Institute.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Proficient computer skills (excel, word)

  • Previous operational/supervisory experience in a related field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

This is a full-time position and would require flexibility in work schedule including some evenings and occasional weekend hours. This includes supervising the daily implementation of behavior support plans in the residential homes. The res-based position would be more flexible, but generally involves: * 1 later night/week (e.g., 2-10) * one w/e day a month (8 hours) (to replace a week day) * 50% of weekly hours at the res (either before or after school) Responsibilities * Conduct behavior assessments as needed to identify problem behavior; develop appropriate support plans to correct problem behaviors. * Train residential staff to implement behavior support plans with integrity * Collect and analyze IOA, treatment integrity, crisis intervention, and problem behavior data * Modify behavior support plans based on data collected * Provide staff training and feedback based on data collected * Ensure appropriate contact with parents regarding behavioral issues * Assist in the admissions process with the identification and screening of possible students to be served by the program * Liaise with residential, administrative, and support service departments * Develop and monitor the implementation of programming for areas including, but not limited to, communication, activities of daily living, and functional living skills.
