Role: Residential Plumbing Apprentice - Harrisburg
The Plumbing apprentice will work with a plumbing technician learning and assisting in the installation and maintaining of plumbing systems. The apprentice must be career-oriented and want to learn, master the trade, and take ownership of a career as a full-time technician. This employee will work out of the Harleysville, PA location performing duties as assigned in a residential setting. They will work with numerous system parts and mechanisms.
In this role you will:
Perform various duties related to residential plumbing install related jobs
Assist in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems
Assist in assembling and installing pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, and equipment
Measure, cut, and thread pipe as needed
Assist in excavation projects, sewer and drain cleaning, and various other projects related to the installation and maintenance of residential plumbing
Perform appropriate communication with co-workers and customers
Learn how to evaluate situations and take proper corrective action
Use basic math computations needed to perform in the plumbing trade
Gain experience, outside of a classroom, working with hand and power tools
Possess the ability to follow building, job site, and department procedures and policies
Complete other duties as assigned
High school diploma, completion of G.E.D.
Equivalent technical school or work experience
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record is required
Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people
Ability to bend, stoop, reach or stand, lift, and move heavy objects

The employee is Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
