Residential Plumber - Commercial Plumber / New Construction

This position requires a high level of technical skill and knowledge in the field of plumbing. The ideal candidate will have experience working in residential and commercial settings, with a strong ability to read blueprints, weld pipes, plumb fixtures, and maintain mechanical systems. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other construction professionals is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems Assemble and install pipes and fittings using hand tools and power tools Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems Collaborate, as needed, with other construction professionals, such as electricians and HVAC technicians to ensure efficient and effective installation of plumbing systems Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns or questions Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment Ability to perform general maintenance tasks, such as fixing leaks or replacing fixtures Understanding of mechanical principles related to plumbing systems for troubleshooting purposes Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and develop effective solutions Knowledge of plumbing systems and experience working in customer’s homes and construction settings Ability to operate commercial vehicles to transport equipment and materials to job sites Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints to understand the layout of plumbing systems Proficient in using a variety of hand tools for pipe cutting, fitting assembly, and other plumbing tasks Strong knowledge of plumbing techniques including pipe installation, soldering, and sealing connections Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions Ability to use a tablet to issue estimates and invoices Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions Ability to communicate orally and in writing Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
