Residential Plumber Apprentice

Description

Ability to assist plumber with Residential installation using tools of the trade. This position is nonexempt and may require overtime depending on business requirements.

Specific Duties/Expectations:

• Ability to read tape measure correctly to 1/16"

• Ability to read torpedo level to 1/8" bubble

• Initiative to understand and install plumbing systems according to code

• Use of the following hand tools required:

• 15-foot tape measure

• Large Channel lock pliers

• Torpedo level

• 8" adjustable wrench

• Flat and Phillips screwdriver

• Perform all job duties in a safe, workmanlike manner

• Perform other work-related activities as required by the lead technician

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions from Plumber and Manager

• Mechanical aptitude required for position

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Diploma from a recognized trade or technical school or equivalent comprised of 2-5 years' experience and training

• A keen interest in learning the trade with ambition to learn and develop additional skills while gathering the job-related experience that will be required for advancement with the company

• Maintain client relationship by proper dress, attitude and directing client concerns or problems to immediate supervisor

• Driver's license in good standing

• Attendance in accordance with corporate policy
