The work:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while making sound credit decisions with attention to detail.

  • Perform income, credit, title and property analysis on Home Equity loan files submitted within the time frame established by departmental management.

  • Examine loan documents and loan processing system for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all required documents and conditions are received.

  • Perform timely reviews of conditions submitted a well as loan resubmissions.

  • Maintain quality and production standards as defined by business.

  • Provides exemplary customer service to both internal staff and external customer by clearly explaining credit decision and offering alternative options when needed.

  • Adequately and effectively explain in written and verbal form the decision reached in a manner that will maintain a positive relationship with all customers.

  • Actively cooperate and interact with all entities of the client. Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Wells Fargo is looking to hire a Mortgage Loan Processor in our Centralized Fullfillment who has a strong desire and passion to deliver an exceptional experience in helping customers with their home loan applications. Roles & Responsibilities: Responsible for file review of complex home loan applications. Functions are varied and include one or any number of the following: timely and clear communication with customers, HMCs, settlement agents, brokers, and other counter-parties to obtain missing information and documentation for the loan file; obtaining and possibly clearing some approval stipulations; submitting loan file to underwriting for review; ensuring all compliance and underwriting guidelines are met; entering loan information into the system; prioritizing and/or managing assigned pipeline to meet anticipated closing date and performance metrics. May provide guidance and training to other Mortgage Processors. This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. As such, this position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below. Required Qualifications * 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: customer service, loan administration, collections, or sales environment demonstrated through work or military experience Desired Qualifications * Intermediate Microsoft Office skills * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * High attention to detail and accuracy skills * Ability to communicate confidentially and professionally * Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities * Ability to navigate multiple computer system windows, applications, and utilize search tools to find information * Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment * Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy * Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills * Experience developing and managing client relationships Job Expectations * This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment.
