OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for increasing the Bank's mortgage loan portfolio by developing business contacts, attracting mortgage customers and assisting with the completion of mortgage loan processing and closing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieving mortgage loan sales through business development to current and prospective customers;

  • Attracts new mortgage loan applications by developing relationships within the community, specifically with the real estate community and making sales calls to prospective customers;

  • Recommends approval of mortgage loans by examining application and supporting documentation;

  • Assists with the completion of mortgage loans by monitoring collection, verification, and preparation of mortgage loan documentation;

  • Implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards through resolving problems and identifying mortgage loan system improvements;

  • Developing and maintaining ongoing contacts with realtors, builders and present customers to enhance cross-selling activities;

  • Presenting customers with the Bank's mortgage programs and to ascertain their banking needs;

  • Completing, printing or emailing application documents to customers; and

  • Development of new promotional ideas for the market area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • A high school diploma or GED;

  • A thorough knowledge of current mortgage products, lending policies and procedures, and regulations;

  • The ability to work autonomously and to make independent decisions;

  • Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematics skills;

  • Visual and auditory skills;

  • Detail-orientated and,

  • A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred:

  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a sales role and related positions.
